About Cell Phones and high gas prices

While I do think the invention of the cell phone is a valuable technology, I do believe the majority of people have become more rude because of them. I have had people crash their carts into me while at the market because they were yapping on their cell phones and not paying attention.

As for escalating gas prices, I really dont have much sympathy for the whiners, especially those with SUVs. For years people existed without them. If you bought into the hype that you needed an SUV, thats your problem. There is no endless supply of gasoline. Its time people stop being so selfish. There are many ways one can save on gas such as car pooling and public transportation.

Tax credits will be available for those purchasing or leasing a hybird vehicle and that is a much better incentive than a tax deduction.

These cars represent the future and more and more hybrids are being developed.

Six Feet Under

Six Feet Under ended a remarkable 5 season run on HBO this past week. Just finally had the chance to catch the series finale last night and I am still recovering. I don't remember the last time a show has moved to tears. If you're getting tired of reality shows please consider checking out this show. Seasons 1-4 are available on DVD. Hopefully HBO will run the show from the beginning again. If this show gets syndicated and ends up on some regular cable channel like TBS, avoid it! Sex In The City reruns are on TBS and look how bad they are with all the editing.
Some shows should NEVER be watered down.

Are we truly destined to repeat the same mistakes?

I was just reading a news article on how some pro war supporters were clashing with the Anti war supporters, calling them communists and such.

I may not agree with some of the actions of the anti war movement but its their right to protest as its part of our basic fundmental rights. The United States was founded on dissent. If we take the right of free speech away then we are no better than those oppressive countries we have fought against.
